Thursday 9th Aug saw committee members and friends of Drumbeg Village Hall taking part in a fancy dress sponsored walk from Lochinver to Drumbeg, a distance of some 14 miles. The walkers left Lochinver around 11am no one was safe from the nun on the run with her collection bucket in hand! Eight hours later saw a tired and weary bunch reach home. The generosity of people, both locals and tourists has been overwhelming. Over £1300 was raised on the day. The committee would like to thank everyone for their donations, help and kindness. Special thanks must go to Suzie MacLeod of Panini in Lochinver, who fed everyone for free and to the ladies of Stoer Village Hall for afternoon tea, again for free.
